Leadership Greater Hartford Announces 2011 Board of Directors

HARTFORD, Conn (December 20, 2010) --- Leadership Greater Hartford (LGH) announces its new officers and new members of its Board of Directors. LGH is a nonprofit organization that conducts leadership development programs for high school students through older adults. Its mission is to develop, connect and inspire diverse leaders to build strong and vibrant communities throughout Greater Hartford.

Assuming the position of Board Chair is Dick Rogers who is Senior Vice President, Human Resources at ConnectiCare, Inc.  Elected Vice Chair is Ann R. Smith, Director of Legal Affairs with the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.

New members of the Board of Directors are:

  • Daniel L. DiFiore, President, ING Insurance Services Inc.
  • Carlos Figueroa, Director of University Relations, Travelers
  • Donna Handley, Vice President Cancer Program, Hartford Hospital
  • Trish Hesslein, Director of Community Relations, The Connecticut Institute  for the Blind/Oak Hill
  • Katherine J. Hunlock, Director, Client Delivery, Ingenix
  • John Merz, Executive Director, Connecticut AIDS Resource Coalition
  • Pamela Richmond, Logistics Program Manager, Pratt & Whitney

Leadership Greater Hartford (LGH) is one of the largest nonprofit community-based leadership organizations in the country.  Our programs are designed to help people realize their leadership potential and inspire them to build strong, vibrant workplaces and communities throughout Greater Hartford. LGH also provides customized consulting, training and regional orientation programs for organizations throughout Greater Hartford. LGH has served the community for more than 34 years.
