When you take part in a Leadership Greater Hartford program, you become more connected and confident. You are taught and challenged as you learn new skills, interact with different people and gain understanding of the Greater Hartford community. You will:
- Be more aware of your own leadership capabilities, learning how or if you are currently using those skills and how to better tap your potential;
- Become better at understanding and interacting with others whose opinions, appearance and background may be different from yours;
- Be more confident and better able to participate in meaningful ways at work, at home, at school, in church, or in civic groups;
- Gain awareness of community issues and resources as you become more connected and develop your LGH network;
- Learn to work in diverse teams using collaborative methods, tight timeframes and limited resources; and
- Feel comfortable and confident participating in the community in a variety of leadership roles.
