Tom Hanley (Quest 1988) is counting down the days until 1-11-11, the opening of the new Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, a member of Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he is the Director of Communications. This is Tom's second children's hospital opening, having previously been Director of Public Relations for Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford. It is also his second Leadership class experience, as he is an alum of the Leadership Grand Rapids class of 2008. (1/25) Lee Erdmann (Quest 1980, ALF XVI and LGH Board Member) has been appointed to serve as the Chief Administrative and Financial Officer for the City of Springfield, MA. Lee has served Hartford and the larger community for more than 30 years in a variety of key posts, most recently as the capital city’s COO. (1/13)

Transitions of Note:James Schumaker (Third Age Initiative Class 5) passed away suddenly in February. (3/10) Debra Campagna (Quest 1991and STRETCH Class 4) died in a car accident recently after a long bout with cancer. She participated in Quest when she headed the CCMC Foundation. (2/22) Lanna Hagge (EOP 1998) died unexpectedly January 20 at Hartford Hospital. (1/25) Micah Carbonneau (Common Ground) will soon complete three years of Peace Corps service in Romania. He will close his service June 15. Then, he will decide whether to attempt a transfer to a program in Africa. (1/13) Events and Happenings:
