Leadership Greater Hartford's

Member Education and Training Events

Members have access to continuing education and leadership training in a variety of formats. We offer informal get-togethers with regional leaders, condensed workshops on specific skills and custom training.

Our Training events are free for dues-paying members. This series of workshops on timely topics runs throughout the year. Convenient scheduling, location, parking, and breakfast make it feasible for the busy professionals to get some quick training and networking while still putting in a full day at the office.

Key players in the region speak to LGH members at our Leaders in Focus series. You will have the chance to meet them personally and hear their stories – leadership tips, challenges, visions and successes. Past speakers have included Hartford’s school superintendent, the head of the Greater Hartford Arts Council and the city’s police chief. This series is free to dues-paying members.

Our consulting and training programs, including how to use the Enneagram to foster leadership and an appreciation of the nine different personality types, can be customized for your organization. Whether you want facilitation for a retreat or team-building exercises, a community orientation for new hires, or assistance in developing a leadership training program for high potentials in your organization, we can help.

Our new program, Lessons in Leadership, is a new monthly discussion series for area business, educational and nonprofit leaders interested in improving their leadership understanding and skills. Leaders must take time to grow personally for the benefit of those they serve.  To foster a sense of common purpose, it is important to find venues where leaders of different disciplines can meet, share their diverse perspectives and identify shared interests.
