On Monday, June 21st two dozen golf enthusiasts, including one brand new rookie, gathered at Keney Golf Course in Hartford to kick off the summer. For 15 years from 1990 to 2004, LGH held an annual golf tournament. Inspired by LGH member Walter Mayo, and supported by our corporate sponsor AT&T, the tournament was a big success. In addition to rekindling old friendships and starting new ones, the event raised about $6,000 to support Leadership Greater Hartford’s youth programs. In addition to a major donation from AT&T, LGH received great prizes and gifts from BlumShapiro, The Travelers, The Firebox Restaurant, and Keney Park Golf Course.
