Leadership Greater Hartford (LGH)
is now accepting applications for those interested in enrolling
in Quest, a leadership training program that brings together
middle and senior level managers from the corporate sector,
government, non-profits, academia and small business. Forty-five
professionals from Greater Hartford will be selected to
participate in the program which provides rising leaders an
opportunity to build the skills, knowledge and contacts they
need to be effective in their jobs and in serving their
communities. Training
begins in January 2008. |

Requirements:
Applicants need to be committed
to their personal and professional development, working with
other community-minded leaders to inspire positive change within
the community. Quest participants will be expected to invest up
to 10 to 12 hours each month (one monthly training session plus
a taskforce meeting),
Those selected to be in the
program will begin their “quest” with an overnight retreat in
January. The class then meets for one skill-building workshop
per month, including hands-on learning activities, tours of
Hartford, and other educational and social events. At the same
time, the class breaks into teams to work on “real-world”
projects that address important issues within the Greater
Hartford community. Participants will learn to think creatively,
act collaboratively and take purposeful risks in response to
challenges posed by their community projects.
About the Quest Training Program:
Quest, the signature program of LGH, was launched in 1977. From
the start 30 years ago, graduates have repeatedly described a
sense of adventure and purpose they felt by participating in
this 11-month leadership training program. Application forms for
