Have you driven Capitol Ave between Forrest and Laurel recently? Many Hartford commuters and students travel this corridor daily. Until recently, it has been a disheartening mess. Thanks to the efforts of over 100 volunteers, including a group of enthusiastic volunteers from Ikon who came together on September 26, this stretch of Capitol Ave is becoming a Corridor of Hope.
Building Leaders While Building Community
Leadership Greater Hartford provides a lifetime of leadership training through community involvement. We have programs for high school students, interns and new hires, mid-career professionals, senior executives and retirees. Our signature program, Quest, brings together emerging and established leaders from all professional sectors of the community for an 11-month training experience.
Our community programs connect people with regional issues, key players, and each other. From event-driven initiatives like Hartford Cares to a program matching people with opportunities to serve on nonprofit boards (Leaders on Board), LGH allows you to use diverse skills and interests to serve the common good.
Leadership Greater Hartford also offers customized consulting and training services to nonprofit organizations, school systems, municipalities, and corporations. These include Enneagram training on personality styles, leadership and team-building workshops, coaching, and strategic planning. We conduct customized tours to orient employees to the opportunities Hartford offers.

Leadership Greater Hartford has been awarded the 2009 Tapestry Award from The Hartford Courant in recognition of our work connecting diverse constituencies and building bridges of understanding in the region.
