Leadership Greater Hartford's

High Hopes is a partnership with Hartford Public High School’s Law and Government Academy.  It provides an extended day program for about 200 students annually with after-school activities and a resource room for additional learning.

Students receive training in leadership and community service, cultural opportunities, and tutoring in math and English. They participate in elective projects including a student newspaper, mural art and internships.  Some students work with Hartford Children’s Theater to produce a play, while others unwind with games and team building exercises, or perform community services projects.

Volunteers are always needed and welcome. Join an existing activity or create your own.  Opportunities are available 3:00-6:00 pm any weekday when school is in session. Click on the Volunteer Application to the right to become a High Hopes Volunteer.
